About the Author
Born in Leeds in 1952, John Warham graduated from The College of Air Training, Hamble, in 1975. He moved to Hong Kong in 1985, flying for Cathay Pacific Airways, where he became a Boeing 747 captain. During the 1990s, as president of the Hong Kong Airlines Pilots' Association, he was a member of the International Federation of Airline Pilots' Associations Flight Time Limitations Working Group, was awarded an IFALPA Presidential Citation in 2003 and is an honorary member of the Royal Air Force Association. He now lives in Koh Samui.

A Must Read Part 2

A must read for any pilot working in Hong Kong, not just for Cathay Pacific. It is a very well written personal account of the 49ers' saga and exposes the major flaws in the judiciary, labour laws and current airline management quality.
