About the Author
As Vice President of Landrum Human Resources, Ted is responsible for Landrum's strategic planning, sales and marketing, information technology and benefits administration. Landrum provides outsourced human resources and employer services for over 14,000 employees in 44 states. Ted has served the community and the state as past president of the Florida Sterling Council, a member of the Advisory Board of the University Of West Florida College Of Business, past president of Autism Pensacola, past president of the Better Business Bureau of Northwest Florida and past senior warden of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. In addition, Ted currently serves on the boards of the Keep Pensacola Beautiful, Every Child a Reader in Escambia, and Better Business Bureau of NWFL. Ted served as the District Governor for Rotary District 6940 for the 2013-14 Rotary year. Ted was named the 2014 recipient of the Ethics in Business Award for the large business sector by the Combined Rotary Clubs of Pensacola. Recently, Ted was appointed to the Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola Advisory Board. He has authored or co-authored a number of professional publications and edited and contributed to the eBook Employee Development: Big Company Results on a Small Business Budget; currently listed as a Human Resources and Personnel Management Kindle best seller. His latest book, The Busy Business Owner’s Guide to Health Care Reform: What You Need to Know, was released in December 2012; with subsequent updated versions published on Amazon.com. Ted has three daughters, Colleen (a Florida Gator nurse), Emily (a Florida State Seminole) and Claire (an Agnes Scott Scottie). Ted has run one marathon and a number of half marathons.

Excellent Resource

After months of personal research and talking with our insurance agents and others, I was no closer to understanding Obamacare than when I started. This book provides and excellent resource to better understand the new law and its impacts on small businesses. I am sure the "truth" will change as additional regulations continue to unfold. However, this is a great starting point and future editions should address any changes. This book is must read for any business owner, CEO or CFO.

Concise & to the point

There is only one thing I dislike more than filing insurance claims, and that is reading about and comparing policies. Regardless, with Healthcare Reform, employers need to review what is offered to staff now, what the new requirements and due dates are, and what will be required in the future. This booklet does just that. It has turned a six foot tall (and growing) stack of laws & regs into a concise booklet!
