About the Author
Vince Cable was MP for Twickenham from 1997-2015. He was the Liberal Democrat's chief economic spokesperson from 2003-2010, having previously served as Chief Economist for Shell from 1995-1997. He was Business Secretary under the Coalition Government from 2010-2015.

Great book about the UK

Very good book to have a detailed and very balanced overview about UK in the actual global context, especially about housing and banking, my only critic is that the author does not explicitly says his position about some important things, but being a politician one understands that maybe he can't ... either way he do put everything there for interpretation... The referendum issue is not as detailed as the rest of the topics ... especially it would be great if the author explains economically, taking into account that the banking sector is huge and outward looking in the UK, what a negative referendum would mean for the UK, EU or the global economy with greater detail , thats the only light topic. But this is definitely the best book to learn about UK.
