The book is short, sweet and steers clear of “fluff” paragraphs or chapters - which I greatly appreciate. Phrases that I adored include, but are not limited to; “age of instant gratification, take that, Samantha, create in the chaos and Googleability.” Something that is written as a how to was still able to come across as extremely intimate and personal because you are willing to air your dirty laundry and experiences to establish credibility and let the reader know that you are relatable. The way the text is written makes the reader feel like you’re having a one-on-one conversation rather than a reading something that you’re completely disconnected from. The end of chapter reviews are extremely useful, especially for readers(and future writers) to get the main and most important points of the chapter. As well as the diagrams and visuals for setting up tracking of edits, perfect for readers who are technology challenged. The way that you explain the process of writing a book makes the task less intimidating and actually manageable for anyone willing to start such an intense process. The accountability calendar and blank sections for readers to fill out themselves - genius. Basically starting the book while reading how to.
