About the Author
Bruce Reyes-Chow is a pastor, writer, blogger, speaker, and cultural critic. In 2008, he became the youngest person ever elected as Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). He is the author of The Definitive-ish Guide for Using Social Media in the Church and But I Don’t See You as Asian: Curating Conversations about Race. He currently serves as Transitional Team Pastor of Valley Community Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley, California, and as Senior Consultant with the Center for Progressive Renewal. Bruce Reyes-Chow has crafted a Lenten devotional that is perfect for the times we are experiencing

40 Days, 40 Prayers, 40 Words is a timely book, and not just because Lent is fast approaching! The congregation I serve is almost two congregations in one: a numerically strong but older, "legacy" congregation, alongside an embryonic, but growing cohort of young families. Bruce Reyes-Chow has crafted a Lenten devotional that is perfect for the times we are experiencing: it's a good fit for the older crowd that has a tradition of following a Lenten devotional each year, and it's a great introduction to Lenten practices for the younger, busier set who feel like they have no time for such practices. The innovative design of the book allows it to be used as a standard "offline" devotional, or as a portal to a rich online Lenten experience. Kudos to Bruce for this imaginative offering!
