Yet Another Wonderful Book of Joel's!

I just don't get it when somebody leaves a negative review on a book of Joel Osteen's. His books contain inspiring, guiding, and comforting messages to all those out there - regardless of your spirituality. And this one is no exception. I'm 20 years old, a young fan of Osteen, and I watch his inspirational sermons all the time. By the time they're over, I feel refreshed, renewed, and revitalized in my soul. I feel as if I can do anything. He's a positive man who wants everyone to succeed in life, with lots of sincerity.
About this book. I currently have 4 of his books, including his latest, "The Power of I Am", and when I saw this on the shelves I grabbed it. The title suggests exactly what it's about: having a fresh start of the new year; a fresh start with yourself, with your spirituality, with God, your family, friends, love life, financing, work, and other aspects in life. Like his other books, Joel uses Scripture to back up his comforting words.
Even if you're not that religious, Joel still writes content to overall feel good about yourself. He encourages you to settle for nothing less than the BEST of you. That's right, aside from his Pastor side, he's a wonderful mentor alone.
This book covers avenues of how you can let go of negativity, the past, and open a new door of positivity and success. And most importantly have a fresh start - no matter how tough things can be for you. I can tell through Joel's attitude, his sermons, and his books that he genuinely wants everyone to succeed. I'm only a few chapters in and I already feel like God is giving me a second chance at life, since things have been hard for me. Joel reminds us in this book that God gives everybody a fresh start in life, and never stops guiding us through life.
Like the cover, the pages in this book also contain beautiful photos of scenery, usually during every chapter beginner and ending. It's not as large as Joel's other books but has the same amount of his usual 200+ pages. Very easy to read, understand, and is full of inspirational verses from the Bible. I paid only $13.00 at my local retail store, and it's definitely worth it!
Overall, this "Fresh Start" is a great addition to Mr. Osteen's collection of spiritual self-help books. It definitely will make you feel stronger, healthier, happier, and ambitious. Osteen teaches us that we're never alone. God is constantly with us and he ensures that in this book. If you feel like you need a fresh start in life, if you're a Joel Osteen fan, or if you simply want comforting lessons for life, "Fresh Start" is the perfect book to begin with the new year of 2016.

Very good keys to staying connected with God

Very good keys to staying connected with God. When we put our plan in action and keep God first place in our lives, and seek God daily, we cannot out run the blesses of God. When we choose to chase after God, and not money, fame, fortune, or possessions, we will experience God's favor. And in His presence there is fullness of peace, joy, and victory. However, we have to understand these principles and apply them to our every day lives. We have to put our faith into action, because faith without works is dead. When we keep God in first place, He'll show us favor and take us places that we've never even dreamed of. Another great read by Pastor Joel.

This is such an amazing book. Hands down, the most inspirational (besides the BIBLE) book I have read from Mr. Osteen. Actual scripture explained with perfect examples of what everyone goes through daily is right here. I would recommend this book to anyone. Please buy it You won't be disappointed.
