I'm a musician, let me share my two bits-
In Steve Heller's book, 'Do What You Love and Success WIll Follow' I found what seemed to be my life, as though someone had copied down the steps I had taken when I was younger to get where I am today. Passion. Vision. Performance. He addresses such things in order to help us help ourselves. Not only was this book well edited, in was written in a way that the author feels like a friend- He gives you advice to help you, not to sell you another book.
Furthermore, he provides materials to help you start you on your way. He asks key (and sometimes very bold) questions to help us and addresses some of the nuances that come with changing careers, as well as why it's unfortunate to stay in a job you hate. It's a very inspiring read, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
